Pray for Sonia, Mercedes, Andrea, and Elisabeth as they translate and adapt each program for Spanish speakers. Pray also for wisdom in answering the many emails and letters they receive.

Please pray for God’s favor to rest on Project Women's Health’s Women of Hope team members for Paraguayan languages: Guarani (Loida, Clara and Maralina), Nivaclé (Marcelina and Irma), and Lengua (Rossana and Siegfrieda). Pray that they will embrace women with encouraging messages from God’s Word and give knowledge that enables women to better care for their families.

Please pray for women and children who suffer from family violence in their homes. Pray that these families will seek help to deal with their alcohol, drug, or money problems; infidelity; and stressful lives, which often lead to family violence.

Please pray for South American teenagers to be encouraged to stay in school rather than get married too soon. Also pray for women who feel their only opportunity for happiness is to live with their boyfriends rather than insist on marriage. Latin American women often have low self-esteem and do not insist on being treated with dignity and respect.

Please pray for Brazilian women affected by the destructive sensual portrayal of them by Brazil’s media and culture. Pray that they would not believe the lie that their worth is found in their exterior beauty. Pray that Christian women will live by the biblical model of a godly woman.

Please pray for women who are struggling to take care of the medical needs of their families. Many do not have the money to pay the clinics so they turn to witch doctors or home remedies.

Please pray for women who are in jail for committing crimes under their mate’s influence. Most of them are abandoned by their husbands and separated from their children. Pray that they would hear the Word of God and experience the Lord’s presence, comfort, and purposes for a new future with Jesus. Pray also for those who have ministries to women in prison.

Pray for young girls and women involved with Brazil’s Hannah’s Houses who are learning to make rugs, paint fabric, and make other items to sell. Learning productivity and problem solving develops their self-esteem and helps them provide a better future for their families.

Please pray for Ilka, who translates the prayer calendar into German for its use by intercessors in Paraguay, Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Pray also for the translation of the prayer calendar into Portuguese (Susie), which is also used in Africa and Europe, as well as into Spanish (Sonia), which is used in many countries.

Please pray for opportunities for young women to learn about the importance of postponing having children until they are over 20, when their bodies will better handle pregnancy and childbirth. The longer girls are in school the older they are when their first child is born.

Please pray for women who seek abortions, risking infections and death, to find acceptance and help from Christians so that their babies can be born and placed in a safe home.
The World Health Organization estimates that in Latin America and the Caribbean in 2008, 12 percent of all maternal deaths were due to unsafe abortions.

Please pray for girls as young as 11 who are pregnant as a result of multiple rapes by a family member, stepfather or the mother’s boyfriend.
The rate of teen pregnancy is higher in Latin America than in any other region in the world. The absence of educational and employment opportunities and the social, cultural, and economic pressures, especially among rural minority groups trap many girls in the cycle of poverty.

Please pray for mothers struggling to find a way to provide for their families’ needs, the children often being used to beg on the streets.
Pray for the children forced to live on the streets, a life that is very common for poor children in big cities. Enticed by criminals, they steal, use drugs, prostitute themselves, and are used as drug dealers. Pray that city officials, Christians, and family members would take action and change this tragic reality.
